In this session, participants will examine the newly adopted AZ state standards for social studies education. Teachers will examine how the standards are banded and build upon one another to incorporate an emphasis on social studies instruction. This session is customized to meet the needs of K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 teachers.

This session will provide opportunities for participants to explore the ways in which STEM connects to curricular standards and tools and strategies to engage in high-interest STEM learning activities, regardless if students are fully virtual or in hybrid learning models. In this session, we will explore and discuss each standard together, and identify strategies and tech tools to facilitate the incorporation of each standard into practice.
