Greg Berkovsky: striving for success in soccer and studies
Greg Berkovsky, a promising youth soccer player from Florida, has harnessed the flexibility of ASU Prep Global Academy, training with the professional Bundesliga club Hertha BSC in Germany as part of International Soccer Academy’s Integrated U17s team. Greg successfully manages his rigorous training schedule and travel without compromising his education. Last season, he was recognized as the Best Student Athlete on his team.
Reflecting on his experience, Greg said, “ASU Prep Global has been crucial in helping me manage my studies alongside my soccer career. The flexibility of the program allows me to keep up with my coursework, no matter where I am.” Greg’s training has taken him to Poland and Spain. “And I was able to do my ASU work wherever I went,” he adds.
Jacob Mudry: excelling in academics and goalkeeping
Jacob Mudry, a goalkeeper from Austin, Texas, has also benefited immensely from ASU Prep Global Academy’s flexible learning environment. Training for nine months at the International Soccer Academy site in Spain with La Liga’s Cádiz CF Integrated Academy U18 team, international matches have taken Jacob to Germany, Poland, and The Netherlands.
Jacob’s ability to balance his high school studies with his aspirations of becoming a professional soccer player earned him the highest recognition as Best Student Athlete of 2023/24. He approaches his favorite subject, math, with the same positive attitude and analytical mindset that serves him well as goalkeeper.
“The teachers are very helpful and compassionate. They make sure we’re up to date and provide everything we need to be successful,” Jacob shared.
Oliver Reece: serving as a role model on & off the field
Oliver Reece, a goalkeeper from Maryland, successfully illustrates the integration of education and professional pursuits facilitated by ASU Prep Global Academy. Training at the International Soccer Academy FC Schalke 04’s Integrated Academy in Germany, Oliver excelled in his studies, earning top academic honors while competing at a high level in soccer. Now training with SV Meppen’s U19 team in Germany’s NLZ Liga, Oliver continues to balance his intense soccer activities with his high school education.
“Studying with ASU Prep Global has been a game-changer for me,” Oliver said. “Being able to pursue my American high school while working towards my goal of playing professionally in Germany is incredible. The flexibility they offer lets me balance my schoolwork and my training schedule seamlessly.”
Fluent in German and interested in Economics and Law, Oliver’s dedication and strong work ethic set him apart as a role model on and off the field.

Oliver Reece, an American goalkeeper from Maryland, demonstrates how ASU Prep Digital enables student-athletes to thrive both academically and athletically. Training International Soccer Academy, Oliver achieved top academic honors, showcasing his ability to excel in the classroom while competing at a high level. As he plays with SV Meppen’s U19 team in Germany’s NLZ Liga, he balances his demanding soccer career with online studies, thanks to ASU Prep Digital’s adaptable coursework. Jacob Mudry, a 17-year-old from Austin, Texas, excels in both academics and soccer with the support of ASU Prep Digital. As a standout goalkeeper, Jacob trained for nine months at the International Soccer Academy site in Spain. His exceptional performance and top grades earned him the title of Best Student Athlete of 2023/24. Jacob credits his success to the flexible schedule and support from his ASU teachers, who helped him balance his studies and soccer. This fall, he plans to continue with the International Soccer Academy while completing his senior year at ASU Prep Digital.

As he prepares to return to Berlin for another season, Greg remains focused on excelling both in high school and on the soccer field.
